First things first.

Here are a few stats that you have probably heard or read before:

  • You are 42% more likely to reach your goals if you write them down
  • The 14% of people with goals are 10 times as successful as those without goals
  • The 3% of people who write down their goals are three times as successful as the 14% who have goals but don’t write them down.

So do you have written goals or are they still on the ‘to do’ list?

Goal setting

Every footballer knows what the goal is; do you know yours?

For most people the problem with goal setting is that they really don’t know what they want to achieve. Many are afraid to dream big. Others have so many things they want to achieve that they don’t want to limit themselves by committing to just a few ideas. But without a goal how can you make a plan? Without a plan how do you know what action to take? Without action how can you expect to succeed?

That’s why goal setting is the first thing we’ll do in the Plan for Results programme. We have tools to help you to decide what you want to achieve in the short, medium and long term. We’ll then help you create a plan to achieve your goals and hold you to account for the action that will move you forward. The programme launches on Small Business Saturday (in the UK), Saturday December 6th but you can start it any time after that date. Why not join the mailing list to ensure you don’t miss out? (I promise not to spam you or to share your contact details).
